Here at Coveyhill we strive for health, soundness, brains and beauty. I have owned goldens for 42 years and have been involved in showing for about 38 years. I took about 13 years off from breeding to raise my kids and I am in the process of re-establishing my lines. I have had wonderful mentors over the years that have taught me a lot about this wonderful breed and that have helped me through this process. We very seldom breed, but when we do, our goal is to produce a dog with a great temperament to be a great pet home companion or to compete in conformation, obedience, tracking or field events.
We are members of the Golden Retriever Club of Canada. We follow the GRCC's Code of Ethics, and all of our breeding dogs have Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (www.offa.org) hip and elbow clearances, a cardiologist-heart clearance, and yearly eye exams performed by board-certified Ophthalmologist which are all available at the above website. We also do DNA testing on all our breeding dogs.
